A Change Would Do You Good - 2011 edition

So last year, I shifted using XML for this blog. I still get confused with the codes, due to the fact I haven't been active doing lay-outs using the said language.

I found a free XML template today that I liked and modified it immediately while I still have that HTML/XML enthusiasm. Anyway, for this new lay-out I got rid of the chatbox and the counter. The chatbox is just filled of spammers and the counter seemed not working anyway. For your comments/inquiries, you may just use the comment box. But be sure to leave a note to my most recent post. :)

Also, I decided to just post the active linkages I know. If your site was not included, I might have overlooked it and I apologize for that. Rest assured, I'll be glad to put it up again.

When I was checking the linkages I've gathered since I started blogging on 2004, I can't help but wonder what happened to the people I used to talk online. Some just allowed their site to die a natural death and moved on to other things. And I never heard from them ever since. Yes, change is inevitable indeed.

If ever they visit this site again one of these days, I'll be glad to hear what they've been doing these past years. I hope they're doing alright. :)

Keeping Up With Social Networking

Good morning, everyone! :)

I just want to check on this blog again. I miss the times when Blogspot had a lot of people engaged in it. There was a phase wherein I enjoyed changing the layout every month or there's an occassion eg. Xmas, Valentine's day. Even depending on my mood. XD

These days people are blogging thru Facebook.Though you can't customized it like Blogspot. It's (Facebook) easy especially if your connections are actively using the said SNS*. You'll get feedback from those who are closest to you without changing sites.

Still, I'm keeping my Blogspot. I met wonderful people thru this site. And though most have moved in FB/other SNS. There are still few here who I keep in touch with. :)

A few hours ago, my friend Sese told me that she couldn't view my blog.
BEHOLD! I checked my account and received the message that I've 'possibly' violated TOS (terms of service). *waaaaaaaaaah!*

I wasted no time to check on Google and looked for ways to get this blog back.
This has been around 2004 and thru this blog, I've documented something about my life and found friends here too.

Anyway, I've learned that there are some users that their blogs got disabled here in Blogspot. If you're experiencing it too, check this thread and follow the instructions here.

(phew!) Somehow, I got really scared at the thought I almost lost this blog.
I was delighted when I saw that my blog is active again. *hugs monitor and Google*

MAJOR, MAJOR blog post in support of Venus Raj

A few days after the Ms. Universe competition. People are still talking how Philippines almost got the crown. Venus Raj, the Philippines' Ms. Universe candidate received a lot of buzz not only for winning the 4th spot but also on how she answered the judge's question.

The judge, William Joseph "Billy" Baldwin asked Venus:

What is one big mistake you’ve made in your life and what did you do to make it right?

And this was Venus' Raj answer:

“In my 22 years of existence, there is nothing major, major problem that I have done in my life. Because I am very confident with my family and the love they are giving to me. So thank you so much.”

Some people concluded that the "major, major" term in Venus' answer made her placed as the 4th runner up. As her fellow kababayan, my support to our Ms. Universe candidate, 4th placer Venus Raj is more overwhelming than her sentence construction. Sure, we didn't get the crown but she still made us proud. The competition happened a day after the tragic Manila Bus Hostage (Aug23) and Venus' friend, Melanie Gersbach got killed in a car accident (Aug21). Imagine the burden and pressure for Venus.

Please remember: "We are the first ones to laugh at ourselves.. Then the rest of the world follows."

I've been thinking between classic template vs. XML.
I decided to try XML. This is a simple lay-out I got from the net (credits below) while I retained the color, image and links that I like.

It looked simple to me and I miss having a catchy scrollbar. There are a lot for me to learn with XML. I'm sad that I'll leave the classic platform of Blogger. There's something nice in it. Maybe that's what you call attachment? But I've to make the change. That's how technology works.

The Nihongo Fiesta was an epic fun event for me. Aside from getting an exclusive Shonen Knife guitar pick, I got to bond with my friends too!

My schedule got mixed up that day. I couldn't attend DLSU-D's Friends of the Library's Day Out event and TAGcom. :( I got to attend 2 out of the 4 events I was targeting that day.

Thankfully, I managed to get to the Main Mall Atrium of MOA and saw those lovely people doing Japanese street fashion. My good friends, The Chris and Lee, MD got there first. We saw some familiar faces from the Jmusic and cosplay community. We also got to meet friends we haven't heard like for years already! lol.

It was nice to see Visual Kei and Ganguro-inspired fashion. I managed to talk to Contestant #9, Siberian Claw (i hope i got it right ^^;) who also won the said contest. We talked a bit about work and that we graduated with the same course. She has a friend who also joined the competition. I perceived her attire was bohemian ganguro - #18.
#17 and #19 were crowd favorites. Esp 19. There were some girls being pushed by their friends to get close to 19. Ang haharot ng iba sa sobrang kilig.

After The Street Fashion Contest, we stuffed ourselves up then went to San Miguel By The Bay. Bands Duster and Pedicab performed. Thank God, they got bands like these. ^_^ I didn't get bored waiting for SK. I heard people behind us keep on asking (during Pedicab), "si raymund marasigan ba yan?" argh..

Anyway, when the band came out. It was like "OH! SHONEN KNIFE!!! kyaaaaa~~~"
Banana Chips is definitely the most recognizable song in the crowd.
I really enjoy hearing this band live! Even Kurt Cobain got mesmerized by their talent and energy. It was epic when Shonen Knife played their last song with the Filipino bands. Astig!

Just when I thought it was already epic enough. Shonen Knife gave away (I think) 2 guitar picks and I got one of it! I'm so happy. After the concert, our group proceeded to a coffee shop to end the night through catching up at each other's lives.

This year's Nihongo Fiesta was definitely a blast. Can they get Gackt or L'arc En Ciel next year? ^_^

Tricks and Treats

Philippines has been getting a lot of typhoons. How are you guys doing btw?
Just last night, the wind was so strong that I couldn't sleep. I was afraid
it will break the glass windows. It's noon already and at least the sun is showing up- I take it as a good sign.

Work is keeping me busy and has been told that I'm doing well at it. I'm now reporting to a new lead. Adjustments are inevitable but I'm excited.
I'm still thinking of becoming a Senior Associate in Human Resources. Somehow, I'm hesitant. Afraid of the unknown.
But there's no other way but for me to move up. And certainly I don't want to find myself down, stagnant and bored.
I've attended a seminar last week and it further emphasized my role in Human Resources. I can't help but also to be amazed on the things
I've overcome and is currently doing. But that's just the tip of the iceberg, ne?

In keeping the work-life-balace ^_^,
I was at the the Ford Models - Philippines competition too. I watched and supported my colleague's daughter.
If you guys think I'm tall already, wait til you see those girls in ramp!
Pinay supermodel Charo Ronquillo also graced the event.

Halloween is today! Who are you going to be?
I'll just recycle something in my closet. But haven't decided on a character. :P
And Xmas is near. It's 50+ days to go.

I'm reunited with Adobe Photoshop. Tho my laptop can only accommodate CS3. I've been looking for tutorial sites. If you got any suggestions, please do!

A Geass Contract

I was absent for a week from work. I gained sore eyes. Friends called it either geass or sharingan. But I think it was a geass. Since it influenced things such as emotion, perception and memory. No one really wanted to hang-out with me or believed I'm safe to be with. I think its power is to repel people. lol.

I'm excited next week since we'll have a general assembly at our company and employees are encouraged to dress up anything to do with rock n roll. If I wasn't so busy, I'd definitely do a Nana cosplay preferably Reira. haha, what an excuse. Alright seriously, I'll just do glam rock. I'm going to dig my closet for that. I know I have something.. somewhere..in here. Times like these, I'm thankful that I bought some things that can be used on various occasions not just within anicons.

So, everyone... please hug me. I'm cured already.

Tie A Yellow Ribbon

I got no work today because Cory Aquino, the Philippines' first female president will be buried today.

She (Cory) went thru some coup attempts during 1987-1989.
[sidestory: We experienced that 1st hand, as my family that time were living near/inside
a camp base. Suddenly helicopters and tanks went out. We didn't know what was happening but my playmates and I were waving at them, thinking: cool.
My grandpa would take us under their wing whenever coup attempts arise.
The adults got a disturbed look on their faces. I remember my grandma thought their house might be a target of an attack as well. We were taught where to hide inside the house and were asked to memorized names/places to go to if something unexpected happens. And you thought that was only in anime/telenovelas!]

Pres. Cory managed to control these situations. It must have been hard for her. With no prior experience in politics but only armed with her desire to uplift the democracy and the Filipino people. She has her flaws and did try her best in most
situations. RIP.

Somehow, it irks me how people tend to be reactive and exaggerate things on her death.

On a lighter note, the Manila Comic Con will be this sat-sun. Note me if you're going.

Beat It - No one wants to be defeated

Michael Jackson - the man have died but his music is so alive. It's been weeks already and people got a rekindled interest. It is sad that it happened after his death. The malls I've been to, is doing a tribute - free film showing. They played either MJ's HIStory tour or his unforgettable music videos. So, What's your MJ song/video?

I truly love Beat It. I love the choreo and yes, I did copy the dance steps. I don't remember doing such except with L'arc En Ciel's Stay Away and the occassional Madonna, Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue and Britney dance diva bug in me.

Speaking of which, there's a Jmusic competition this coming Sat.

Don't have good pics to share. U_U It was so hard to get nice pics from our post. But still, we enjoyed it. I noticed they used 1 costume only. Well, most of the songs are from their 2nd album. The official length of the performance is 1 hour. I enjoyed their act during I Hate This Part. People were singing along. And also the competition of Bottle Pop dance. Aw, Charice I envy you that you were up close and personal with Ashley. I'm a fan of hers.

I'll be at the Pussy Cat Dolls' concert tonight. Can't wait to see them perform live. I'm on leave today. Hehe, an uber long weekend for me. :D It was nice that PCD chose such date near our Independence day celebration. More than 100 years after Spain's rule. Look at us now. tsk, tsk. LOL. I'm starting to think about Hetalia now.

My Idea of A Nice Thing

As every hour passed, the rain's getting crazier. Once the clock hits 12mn, it will be my mom's bday. I have prepared something for her special day - food and spa treatment. (yay) I hope she'll like it.

But due to the weather, I'm crossing my fingers that even if my mom and I can't have our mother-daughter spa time. I pray that her bday food will arrive at her office.

For the Workforce

I'm currently enjoying a long weekend thanks to Labor Day. ^_^
Labor Day (May1) is a worldwide celebration in recognizing the workforce.

Working in a corporate setting has opened a whole new level of challenges to me.
It's no longer just dress-up and all smiles. I have a serious role to fulfill everyday and the company I serve expects my talent and skills to the fullest. At times, when I thought I have given it my all, I still need to accomplish more.

Being part of the workforce is not all gloomy. There are also time for fun! (DAPAT!)
Work+Life balance as we always do in the office. We crack jokes, we dine out and we also have our own time to do our thing.

Of course, being recognized and appreciated is also what every employee aims.
So for this day, let us give a salute to the workforce and to the companies who takes good care of their people. My company included. ^_~

2009 is sure running fast. It's already February! XD

Gackt.. I'm excited to know he did the opening song to the latest Kamen Rider aka Masked Rider series. He is also open to be a villain in the series. A combo meal.

Tuned in to Hetalia... it's a webcomic turned anime and I love how the characters representing the countries/nations involving WWI and WWII. I wish they'll add Philippines.

Watched Soul Eater until episode 18. I was excited actually to find out that the opening song - it's from T.M Revolution! I loved the song actually. The prologue where a narrator introduces the 'Academy' reminds me of an opening of Yami no Matsuei - another anime using Shinigamis.

Read>The Dragon King's Palace by Laura Joh Rowland, is a fiction novel I have found by accident and bought in BookSale yesterday. I finished it this morning. I liked the story actually. The story went how Sano Ichiro will have to save his wife and her friend, the Emperor's mother and his wife. But before Sano will be able to save them, he has to deal with people who want to gain the Emperor’s favors rather than saving the 4 women.

Years ago...one of my friend lend me read her other novel -The Concubine's Tattoo. I have read two novels of her novels and you might want to try samurai tales featuring Sano Ichiro -actually he's a detective for the Emperor, mystery, solving crimes and how politics run in the Tokugawa regime - and is open to hearing alternative preferences going on by the Emperor - yes, shounen-ai but no explicit scenes. Watch out for the character Yanagisawa.

Shining Collection

Before I left the house, I popped a cd of WeiB Kreuz/Knight Hunters as they dubbed it in Filipino.
It occured to me there's no new anime that I look forward to these days.
When I buy dvds or manga, I'd always look for the classic stuff.
The last series that made me feel energized was Initial D.
I was uber happy when they released stage 4. I've heard stage 5 is in the works? But no reliable sources to quote yet.

I miss Evangelion, Patlabor, Gundam series, St. Tail... the list goes on.
I also experienced I followed Gravitation and Yami no Matsuei in their manga form.
I couldn't read a lot in Japanese but I was guided by my co-fans.
So when they released an anime, it was heaven~

Anyway, I just want to share this. It may sound as if I'm an old lady talking. lol.

It was a tough decision between Sun (subscription) and Smart (prepaid).
Sun rates are very competitive. And I know that Sun only invests on a technology that's stable.
Globe maybe the lowest priced but the signal in our area is not good.

So far, the Smart Bro prepaid kit does the basic things I need.
As long as I can check my email, download my docs,
YM's okay. It's all good. I also updated my softwares thru this one.

I got 2-3 times disconnection since it relays on 3g signal. It's important to check your Smart 3G's signal. DSL users maybe disappointed on the speed.

Rates seems pricey. But if you're like me who does simple stuff on the net and is very mobile in terms of location.
This prepaid kit can give you connectivity option.

I'm considering to have short hair next.

On the New Episode of...(the return of GetBacker's Transporter)

There a lot of things going on in my life. It's challenging lately.
Weekdays- I work. Saturdays- I go to school. Sundays- family day/koibito detto.

At work, I'm working with the best people in my field. But there's a pinch in my heart that I feel I'm not working at full capacity. I have seen good results but it's still a long way to cover all things.

At school, I'm enjoying Organizational Dev't subject. I'm pretty active at this subject. Hehe, I don't aim really to have an UNO/1.0. But it would definitely be a plus since I totally enjoy the leadership and management discussion.
On to another subject, Research Designs is killing me. We have classmates who have this unique nature that they'll just ask questions not because they don't know but to make you feel that they are higher than you. pfft~
I'm reporting Experimental Design. hehe, good luck.

With my family, this coming Saturday. It's my youngest brother's bday! Yehey, my mom asked me to organize our dinner. I wanted us to have it at Serendra or Blue Wave. But I feel that my other sibling and I will have to wait for an hour or so. So we settled in MoA to have the family dinner.

Sunday, oh gosh.. I'm totally excited at this upcoming La Sallian event.

Two of my friends' YM got hacked last Friday morning.

It was almost as if I'm talking with the 'real' user of the account at first.
But as gut feel has it, something was wrong.
As it turned out, the 'users' asked for load.
Prepaid callcards daw dapat! Demanding! joodan ja ne ka~

I would like to ask everyone to be vigilant these days.
My dad was almost tricked too in giving load and it was via mobile.

The timing was good.
My dad and mom were texting.
My mom didn't reply for sometime then suddenly a text came in and asked my dad for a load.
Good thing, my dad called directly my mom.
So it was revealed it was a fraud text.

Tip: Whether you received it via multiply, YM, mobile, etc.,
if you have someone in mind who might be asking for the load.
Call the person's # directly.
It's safe to say someone who needs load has a working battery.

Yes, I'm digging YouTube again for some "Oh-I-forgot" music videos.
And I was searching about kimonos and this video popped up in my mind.
Then I found out that Kylie and Towa Tei did another song: Sometime Samurai? Am I right?

Another video, Sabotage by Beastie Boys.
Makes me want to prep up my video-editing skills so I can start working either on an indie film with some of my friends. I'd like to be that we do some ass-kickin' action ala Charlie's Angels. Imagine your pizza girls: Jessica, Mikki and Nagi.

My One Day Job: Photographer and Make-Up Artist

The unpredictable weather almost cancelled our photoshoot. But the determination of the team proved to be stronger than the storm as we manage to conduct our photoshoot last Saturday.

We started out late but thankfully it didn't rain during the entire shoot.
From a group of 8, our team grew to 12.
My 1st big group for a photoshoot proved to be challenging and a learning experience.
We were against factors like weather, more manpower for the technical side, tripod(shame on me!) and it was fortunate that the batteries ran out near the end of session.

The models I have are all lovely not just physically but their attitude as well.
I was surprised really when the male models I have are very open-minded to have make-up. When I was organizing this shoot, I was afraid the models might complain on how much make-up I put them particularly for males. But I didn't hear them complain (both male and female). Bless the males who knows to appreciate make-up.
The female models got clear skin so make-up was easy to apply on them.

When the shooting began, it proved yet again challenging.
My models got bored and hungry while waiting for the queue. I tend to forget to retouch them. nyay!
And now that I've uploaded the pictures, I noticed that some of them got more shots than the others. aw, gomen about it team! -bows down- I will work harder next time.

If you're going to ask about my pictures (since I'm a camwhore), I'm the photographer :beams proudly:, haha, so I didn't get any. Too bad, I have Orihime hair now.

Anyway, I got exhausted but nonetheless happy on the outcome of the raw pictures.
Just you wait when we have it edited via photoshop. ;-D

Homecoming 2008: the chronicle

This year, Batch 1998 was the sponsor last night at the homecoming (my mom said homecomings are held after 10 years of a particular batch). Anyway, the homecoming is open to all batches so it was also a way to meet up old friends.

I met up with my BFF Mikki at VBH while waiting for her buds LokoPo. From VBH, we met up her buds at the Engineering Bldg (sorry, I don't know what's its name. ^^;;).

Once at the venue, we registered. We got an alumni mag, La Salle-printed necklace and our stubs for raffle and FOOD! I was a bit surprised and so does Alain and the others, as there was only one box for resume dropping.

Moving on, we went inside ULS and found there were blinking lights already, a dance floor, a stage and other guests at their seats. My BFF was a hot item that night as there were people coming up to her and commended her suggestion last year that professors should be around too at the homecoming. Because of that, I found one of my favorite professors there last night.

They gave an Outstanding Award to Marian Rivera, my sempai. But she was not around at that time. Other awardees include the current mayor of Dasma, Cavite and the congressman of Batangas, 4th district. All of them made DLSU-D proud. The Outstanding Award is the highest award an alumni can receive. gee, I want to receive that too soon.

Anyway, it was a breathe of new air as batches from 2004 and up were more visible this year. Mikki commented that this year's homecoming has a lot of attendees compared to the previous ones.

Food was great. ^_^ And thank goodness, there's COKE ZERO. I have to admit I'm addicted to it.

We stayed for an hour or so since there was a raffle. Well, most of us were in vain as our group didn't win any prize.

Once outside at ULS, my BFF and I parted ways. Alain, Levy and I stayed at ULS for a photoshoot love. Can you blame us?! The night and the dim lights were perfect.

From ULS, we walked towards gate 1. Yeah, it was so dark aside from the lighted pathway. Three of us were walking and got to talk about life, death, occult and the supernatural. Alain played some Bleach songs too which got us more in the mood. hehe...

Once we reached the east campus, we saw the fountain at the church as active. Again, another photoshoot. There's a kerropi / frog i mean, at the fountain. Good thing it didn't jumped on us or else it would definitely cause ruckus. XD

After the photoshoot, we chilled at the church side and got to talk a lot of topics. I got to know more about Alain and Levy than the usual things they post on their blogs.
It was a breather, those two made me feel that I'm still young. I found myself being talkative again. yipee~ Most of the time, I wanted to grow up so fast and do a lot of things. I'm in my early 20s but the burn-out feeling can make one feel as if it's 70 already!

We learned that the people we meet in school will eventually have a counterpart once we started working or in whatever field that we are in.

We savor the chilly air when we heard the bell rang. Then got up and started walking to our destination- home.

It's interesting to see which famous people/celebrities and even fictional characters who shares the same date or even astrological sign!
An excuse for affiliation. Nevertheless, it's entertaining.

I don't know how many of you can remember or even relate the song- Feel Like Dance by Globe.
Thank goodness that Jmusic incorporates Engrish in the lyrics. Actually, I have managed to find the title and the band recently due to youtube and google (marvelous!). This came out like I was in grade school.(okay, no guessing of age)
And it was being played in the local airwaves like Pizzicato Five.

STAY AWAY

These days, Haruhi Suzumiya dance is undeniably still infectious.
Even our Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center in the Philippines-tachi couldn't resist it too.
You may not see me under a full trance of Haruism.
But I can't deny that I turn like a hamster to a wheel to Laruku's STAY AWAY dance. See 3:32.

I received a text that L'arc En Ciel will have a concert at Hong Kong this May 17.
-sigh- Despite that HK is near and the ticket seems affordable (only 5K when converted).
Problem is I don't have a frickkin' passport!
My mother was supposed to process it for me as a birthday gift but I was lazy to prepare the requirements. lol.
Oh well.. I guess I've to be contented seeing them in videos.
I'll just going to contact Hyde and the gang for my wedding.
Add Gackt too (I hope he'll be around with the stag party. woot~) ^_^.

GLOMP ME!

After four days of stay in Cebu, I found out more about the bustling city. Actually, we were in the city proper most of the time so it felt like Manila. Actually, we had jokes running in what areas can we compare the things we see in Cebu vs. Manila. Like there's a mini-Makati, mini-Alabang, mini-Tondo and such. Wala lang MRT/LRT!

The hotel that we stayed was so GORGEOUS! and the service is SUPERB!
Our room had a bath tub which I appreciated even more. wee~ Of course, I had a warm bath after our arrival. Problem came in the evening as I find myself not being able to sleep tight.
In Filipino, you call it namamahay. Or adjusting to a place.
I was namamahay mode up until the night before our flight.

I was on a business trip so we didn't have much time to roam around Cebu.
And yes, I regret not seeing those genki Cebu detention dance group. They had a show last Saturday. Argh! Badtrip. I had a meeting then. I mean c'mon would you take a someone seriously, say a Manager like me who'd reason out that I'm going to skip the engage just because of my fascination in their Haruhi dance? Lol. I doubt.

Save for the Magellan's cross, Viva Sto. Niño church and the famous pasalubong stopover- Tabuan, as they called it. At least, I manage to be in those places. The tradition of Cebuanos waiving at the Sto. Niño's statue is interesting. ^_^
And I found out from the locals that this was the very 1st Sto. Niño in the Philippines. Wayback Legazpi's time.

I haven't noticed it until now but it's already April!

Dream. Believe. Survive. Transport Strike!

I left home at 6:30am. Yet passed 7am, I still haven't been able to
ride a bus or any decent vehicle going to Makati.
There were a lot of people waiting in vain for transportation.
There were buses, jeeps and taxis that have passed but they
stubbornly declined commuters to ride them.

I, and the commuters, walked with nowhere to go.
The istambays were making fun of the crowd.

I came up a plan to ask people who are bound to Makati.
There's this lady whom I met at the gasoline station, timely
there's a taxi there.

Nagi: "Miss, pa-Makati ka rin ba?"
Ale: "Oo"
Nagi: "Taxi na tayo. Hati na lang tayo sa bayad."

We approached the taxi and almost begged that he drive us to Makati.
He was very reluctant because he's afraid of kuyog or mass attack(?)
of his colleagues to halt driving for this day.
We managed to convince manong that I will act as if the ownder of the taxi.
Nagi: "Manong, akong bahala pagka-may kumuyog sa inyo ulit sa Makati.

Sabihin natin na ako si Athena at ang taxi ito ay pangalan ko."
(he claims that he already transported one passenger but was stopped by the protestors
and he was afraid to encounter it again)

Hehe, Manong can't help but laugh at my silly suggestion but it was enough
to move him to drive.

We paid him twice the normal rate.
But he didn't dropped us at our building since of the protestors.
Worth it? Somehow because I got in the office on-time.
When I arrived at the office I exclaimed, "I survived!"

On the way home, Takumi picked me up with his Subaru.
So I was safe and arrived fast. Argh, he was asleep during the day because his assignment
requires him to do work early, which at that time I'm still peacefully sleeping.

I heard in the news that the request of the protestors have been granted.
-sigh- Kailangan ba mag-strike pa para mapagbigyan sila?
Pilipinas! Anticipate. Plan. Act.
Hindi yung kung kailangan madami na nadadamay saka kikilos.

I get all jumpy when it there's an on-oing sale particularly
the stuff I dig like books.
I totally support National Bookstore for coming up this crazy sale lately
wherein some of the mangas which were being sold before at 400+ and above is now
down to 75.00php only. Dattebayo!
My brother bought me some Gravitation manga!
YES, people. It's my brother who bought it for me.

I'm all praise that my brother was brave enough and thoughtful
to buy the such books on an impulse.
I mean c'mon how many brothers would be kind to buy a yaoi/shounen-ai manga
to their sister.
I'm looking for GetBackers manga too. But can't find any so far.
If you spotted one, do inform me. =)

My brother said he saw a FAKE manga though a yaoi fangirl got to it
before him.
Haha, I told my brother he should have tried talking to that girl.
Maybe that girl's heart would melt to hear how thoughtful he is.
But anyway, I'm happy so far that I've added new books to my shounen-ai/yaoi library.

The Japanese Interview (subtitle needed)

My brother had his first taste of a job interview.
It was for a Japanese software company and our family was excited for him.
In preparation, I guided my brother on making his resume.

Once at the panel interview, my brother said that he was surprised that
the company has sent 3 Nihon-jin representatives and 1 translator.
He was expecting that his panelists are just co-Filipinos who can speak Nihonngo.

Anyway, he felt silly at times because he felt he had lost his Nihonggo skill.
Ultimately, he found himself answering his interviewers on instinct and use Nihonggo.
He have managed to interact with ease on the topic he liked the most: programming.

My brother mentioned the panelists had him choose where would he like to work: Japan or Philippines.
He answered he's fine working in Japan.
He can see himself there in 5-10 years, as long as he can come home on holidays.

I was curious too on how his Japanese panelists looked at his resume.
After all, we did work on it. I also suggested a different lay-out since it's for an IT industry.

His observation:
"Yung ngang di nakakaintindi masyado ng English, napaintindi mo sa resume yung hinahanap nila. Panu pa kaya sa iba?"

I'm amaze on the output of his resume.
I keep scanning my brother's resume and it felt as if he's no common fresh graduate with such.

I'm always proud of my brothers. Events like this makes me feel blessed that they are my siblings.

Single Awareness Day: No More Cosplay Dates

Ah, Feb 14. This day will be full of serenading and all those lovey-dovey stuff.
I'm a romantic person too. But sometimes I stuck my tongue-out that some people are fussing so much on one day alone. When in fact, it should come out naturally.

We call Feb 14 - Single Awareness Day.

It's just a silly subtitle we put on that day. But it also got something to do with a tradition we started in our own circle, wherein we give chocolates to our friends. It's something to put everyone in the mood for love. Not just on a bf-gf level.
Any simple chocolates would do. (However, tsoknuts will put the giver in a good old teasing: ang kuripot mo pare XD ) A hand-written letter would make it more special.

Well, no matter how you see Feb 14. Single or attached you maybe, it still doesn't change the fact that it's no legal holiday. Lol. I wish PGMA did so we can all rest.

I so want a long week vacation soon.

Well, look no further. I was surprised when I heard Eurobeat/Para Para tunes at the radio. Thanks to the buses plugged to the likes of mass-targeted radio stations (y'know what I am talking about. Kailangan pa bang i-memorize yan?!)
Maybe you have heard this song before?

I can only predict if Para Para dancing will be a hit as a skit this year.
I think there was already a group 1-2 years ago who tried to present it on stage.
Well, I love Para Para. If groups would start doing it again, you might find me dancing along too. =)

Ever since the unlimited text service began,
I found myself keeping more than 1 sim.
Why? Because I want to keep in touch to the people I keep in touch with.
At some point, I have a Globe and Smart Sim.
Then, I dropped one of them and replaced Sun.
The frequency of a sim to be used depends on the promo they have
and how many people I can reach.
It even came to a point, I tried to manage 3 sims, each with its phone.
But I noticed that instead of saving money.
It seems more expensive.

Globe: Unlimited service is reliable.
20php per day x 30= 600php/month
Projected Cost per month: 700-up (load for non-Globe subscribers)

Smart: Unlimited service is somewhat reliable.
I have encountered a few times that I thought I registered unsuccessfully
but later I'll receive a notice that I was registered but I haven't used it all.
Sayang sa load.
15php per day x 30= 450php/month
Projected Cost per month: 500-up (load for non-SMART subscribers)

Sun: Unlimited service is reliable. But the signal in some areas
proves to be a challenge at times, which can affect the way you receive
text and call under this network.

150php/month.
Projected Cost per month: 300-up (load for non-Sun subscribers)

By the figure, SUN proves to be the most affordable.
Only that using sun can be lonely at times.
Even if you try to txt someone on the other network,
no one bothers to reply.
I don't know why I only encounter this when I use sun.
Compared to Globe and Smart.

I have this fixation that I must feel that I'm using the phone.
From chikkahan and all.
Not just waiting for someone to text.

Identity Theft

I received a text from my brother this afternoon.
He was asking if we could talk.
I called him and just from his voice I knew he was upset about something.

"Ano gagawin mo pagka-ginamit ang pangalan mo sa masamang gawain
na di mo naman ginawa?"

It turned out that someone used his identity.
And it tried to rekindle a war from his former groupmates
from hell.

That 'someone' created a email, similar to what my brother's,
on a different domain.
For example, my brother uses chisato_kei@yahoo.com
That 'someone' created kei_chisato@gmail.com

And the gmail was used to sent a mail to one of his damned groupmates.
One of his groupmates claimed the email which my brother sent,
have said some profanities to them.

My brother said that he was confronted by this incident
by one of those damned groupmates.
I think it was in a computer shop.

My brother said he didn't email them at all.
And if indeed he would try to email someone from his groupmates,
it would not that person who received it.
But he insisted he's not interested at all to do such scheme.

Those bastards are hard-headed.
They still push my brother that it was he no doubt with such email.

I told my brother that I'm interested to get in touch with those bastards.
He said he didn't need my assistance and just hearing him out.

I'm upset that those bastards still continue to harass my brother.
They've been spreading rumors that he's a difficult group mate
when in fact, my brother did the WHOLE THING for them then
they dropped him off the group.

This is the second time I've asked my brother that I need to know
those guys.
I can't stand that they keep doing this to him.
This has to end.

But my brother said to me, "Kaya ko ito. Kailangan ko rin naman matuto ipagtanggol sarili ko."

He asked me if I have encountered it too.
I told him yes.
It was someone cloaking under my IP add. It tried to hack some of my on-line
accounts too, few were successfully stolen.
And due to that incident, some used it to their advantage to scar my identity.

The hacking incident was sad (nakakairita rather)
but at the same time I learned something.
I learned who were my real friends and those who knew the real me and can understand me.

My brother said how do I handle if someone thinks bad of me?
I told him, let them.
The truth shall and ultimately prevail.

Besides, people who are so stuck-up to prove their theory eg.
"Biatch yan si Nagi" or "Nanglalaglag yan si Aizen"
are in a hamster wheel ride.

I was having second-thoughts to cut the subscription
of Globe's wireless dsl.
But I have to. I can't stand to pay more than 1k per month
and just have the landline work. (We applied for the wireless+landline combo).
Despite not even reaching 1 week, we decided to terminate it.
The expectations for Globe wasn't high. Yeah, we need a good speed but also reliability in service.
Particularly the wireless since I badly need it.
If only the connection was there, we would have stayed.

Our family has been Globe subscribers for a long time. They gave us good freebies too.
But with wireless, I think we have to accept that the area and the eternal system restoration,
is not meant for us.
It was nice knowing you Globe broadband. But it's not yet the time.
At least not now.

Maybe if things will work out soon, we'll re-apply again.
So long, customer representatives, I will no longer rape your brains.
One rep tries to use the mute function. But heck it wouldn't work on me since I have telepathy.

Anyone tried Globeline's Speak n Surf?
Well, just when I thought I'll be able released from the PLDT curse.
Here comes a new form.
Globe SnS is like a faster version of what I experience from PLDT.
-_- It's still fluctuating, speed and all.
We got the landline and wireless net bundle.
I've searched the internet and voila! comments from unsatisfied subscribers.
We're still in the 7-day trial period.
If we're not happy, we can return it.
But I can feel my mom will not be happy if her globe landline will be returned.
However, if we stay for 2 years(lock-in period, I believe) having this kind of connection at all,
everybody's not going to be happy!!!

I've been trying to call Globe hotline.
The TSRs? No solution at all- just monitor, system under maintenance.
Then why the hell did you guys even bother to release your product in the market
if all of us, new subscribers will face system maintenance.
The company should have anticipated LONG before the demand for bandwidth.

gyah. I overheard someone at the background, "kakabit lang, nawala na agad connection."

I went to UP AME Gakuensai: Ang AMEng School Fair last Saturday.
I met with my blogmates: Sese and A-chan.
My group and I were kinda slump since we don't have a yaoi entry this year.
One of our male actors backed out last minute due to 'The Girlfriend'

AND just few minutes ago, I've experienced a magnitude 6 earthquake while being on the 28th flr.
I felt our building swayed!
I wasn't that scared. I was like kidding myself.
"This is just like in the anime Evangelion, right?"
lol.
Just to make everyone smile for a while.

toothache and conventions

I was not in the office for two days because of my toothache.
It gave me a terrible fever and made chewing difficult. argh!
Today, thankfully I managed to be here in the office and work again.
The toothache is definitely going away. yay!
I wish I would not lose my tooth. But it's still under observation anyway.

Hm.. so many conventions lately.
Since I'm getting myself sick lately which led to financial constraints,
I may need to sacrifice some events.

To brief all of you, here are the said events:

Nov 24: UP AME
Nov 30-Dec 1: Afro-Asian Psychological Association
Dec 1: H3 Con 2007 day 1
Dec 2- Bro's Japanese Language Proficiency Test; H3 Con 2007 day 2

Anyway, no matter what happens,
I'd definitely be around to give support to my bro who'll be taking
his JLPT. *cries* Just look at my brother. He's gotten better with his Japanese.
He'd even try to get a certificate for it.

hehe.. and after a long time, my brother and I both come into terms regarding cosplay.
Yep, we're targetting next year we'll do an act.

Going back to the other events *bites hankerchief* But I'd love to attend all of those.

An unknown dog bit me. I'm undergoing the rabies shots til next year. Note: The dog didn't bit me really. It's like a lock-jaw only. I didn't have any wounds. Tho the part where I remember feeling the dog's teeth (probably if I have moved, it could have really left a mark) so just to be sure and safe, I'm going to have those KILLER SHOTS!

My toothache's killing me! (argh! Can't this mortal body of mine be stronger? I don't have a lot of money to pay medical bills. And X-mas is just around the corner.)

I know I'm almost going broke since I paid my tuition fee but didn't stop me to buy a manga (comic) of INITIAL D. Man! Call me a geek but I was really excited to read it even on print. It still has "what will happen?" feeling on me. Despite that I have watched it on tv.

I know I'm paying for my own tuition right now but I am glad to say I made my parents proud once again since I got good grades in grad school. UNO BABY! UNO! That's A+! I can't help but give you kumagoro beam right now. lol.

2nd sem just started today and uh, the doctors are scarier this time. Challenging na naman ang requirement nila and ibang concept na naman ang pagtuturo nila.

Everyday I source and screen applicants for interviews.
I get frustrated when I saw a resume, the qualifications are there yet
when I try to call the person, the mobile phone's not active anymore.
The landline's incorrect.

I think aside from the skills and experiences you have and will gain.
The first step in getting a job is how you would be contacted.

Contact Details should be active and for long term use.
For fresh grads, the moment you start giving resumes make sure your # would be long-term. It's like a tag already.

Companies you have submitted your resumes may not contact you now but in the future they might.
If you can't choose what number to put in your resume, then just put ALL of your numbers.
If you have a landline, better.
(Check if you have typed it right.)

If you're active on-line, add your email too.
It has been mentioned that in getting a job, you're like SELLING your skills and qualifications.
And in selling, there's what we call AVAILABILITY.
Your contact details serves that purpose.

Also if you have other addresses (temporary, permanent, provincial), add those details too.
For recruiters like me, it can help to decide where the candidate can be assigned.
And being mobile in terms of location is a plus.
It shows you can be independent and flexible.

I think I've had just too much wrong #s, can't be reach, not in service and other

At the Workplace

(This happened last Friday. But I managed to access my Blogger account only today.

I got the courage to ask my counterpart with regards how would she rate the way I work.
Before we had this talk, we had a slight drift today.
Indeed, if I thought I was slow. Well, I'm slower than I have thought.
I appreciate the candidness of Marj -my counterpart-.
She told me what I needed to know.
I felt bad to have upset her.
But I didn't regret talking to her today.
I have learned something new. I have learned more about Marj as a person. And I have learned something
about myself.
I'm still young for this corporate world. I still have lots of things to learn and must do it fast.
I have analyzed myself if I was being disappointed and frustrated on the way things have been going on for me,
may it be with work, the people, etc.
What can I do?
marj has been telling me that she really sees me as hardworking.
However, I think to myself, being a hard worker isn't enough if it doesn't give
results right?
The efforts just looks mediocre. And I'm being objective about this.
And on being subjective, I don't want to see myself just being a piece of shit in the company, earning
and not giving inputs and meet the standards of the people around me.

Does anyone who's also working or will work later on
think about that everytime you work for a certain company.
You're bringing in lots of things.
Not only your ideas and your willingness to work.
But you have a name. Aside from your given name,
you carry with you- your family name, your school and even your previous company.
It's like you're making yourself a BRAND.
How would people know you at work.

I'd love to work permanently with my current company.
With the conversation I have with Marj, I have appreciated her even more.
Not only as a co-worker but a mentor.
And I admit, I look like a stubborn little kid under her care.

On Monday, I'll be at work again. I'll be seeing Marj again.

Before she stepped down the bus, she told me: okay na tayo.
I hope we really are. Not that I see her that nagtatanim ng galit.
It's hard to work with someone who doesn't want to see you in the eye.
It's hard for both sides. And I don't want that to happen between me and Marj.
Presently, I'm thinking on what can I do so that we can be closer.
This event has been really constructive for me.

I Want To Be Complete

It's almost a month since I transferred to a new company.
Hehe.. I've tried accessing my blog thru our office and
-relief- blogs are allowed... for now.
I wonder if our IS people surf in here to read my entries. X_x yikes!
Anyway, I'm living the life of a Makati girl.
Last Friday, we went to The Fort, had a team building session at
Fitness First then had dinner at Trio.
Ahohoho.. A slice of an Ouran lifestyle.

It makes me even think will this be the last company I will work for?
I pray it is.
Free drinks- ice tea, mango juice, orange juice,
use of the microwave oven, access to good food and fine dining,
good resources/support for recruitment/HR files,
CLEAN comfort/powder rooms- we never ran out of tissue and
the place's so hygienic.
I have a nice looking PC, headset for phone interviews
and a name plate that says my name and the logo of our company
and its products.

The working environment of a multi-national company is challenging.
I really want to see myself to adapt and adjust to the needs of my company.
I want to accomplish something.
I want to be a regular employee and be part of a well-known company.
I want to get along with all of the people I work with.
I want to make my family, friends, loved one and my Alma Mater be proud of me.
I want to be a good example.
I want to be complete. -lol-

Uh, I'm working for a manufacturing company and not for a pharmaceutical one, okay?

Marimar in Makati

I've watched Marimar on its 1st week. It was Wednesday when Marimar was all grown up aka Marian Rivera.
It was nice to see Marian finally doing the Marimar role.
I'm not sure if GMA injected Pinoy emo on the story. I've managed to watch Marimar-Thalia when I was still a kid and I remember the story says that Marimar's mom died due to giving birth. And now in GMA, it was due to a plane crash.
But anyway, here at home, we're having a bet on guessing what day/week a certain Marimar-Thalia scene will be shown on the Marimar-Marian ver.

Some of my friends have started calling me Marimar. XD
And somehow I remember when Marimar went to the city to find work, she was naive then.

Wednesday, I finally started at my new job and Makati's my new home. Goodbye, Alabang.
I felt clueless and everything was overwhelming for me-
the moment I stepped at the door up to the time I went to the office.
I was excited to work in one of the nicest and notable building in Makati.

My first day was busy already. I didn't even manage to text my family I have arrived safely at work, despite
the terrible storm.
Even if I have a 1year work experience, my responsibilities are all new to me.
Now, I'm not only in-charge of recruiting employees for my company but I'm now fully in-charge of all requirements
to be submitted and should be omplete.
I will be coordinating all clinics to conduct medical check-ups for our employees in Luzon, Visayas and MINDANAO!
The whole lot, baby!
I will also do flight and hotel bookings for my supervisor/s.

My main concern right now is the person I replaced is SO UNORGANIZED!
Her cubicle -which is now my cubicle- was so UNINVITING to move and do work.
Files were all over the place and the challenging part is- I will be doing
the audit on November and that person whom I replaced, didn't prepare or handled well the files
since she started Jan-Aug. XD

The people in my office were commenting how tough the work will be since I'll do a backtrack since January.
They have also mentioned stuff on how the previous girl worked.
Well, it was no doubt she was REALLY UNORGANIZED. They don't need to tell me.
The cubicle says it all.
They said she was a rich girl, that's why when she worked she didn't push herself too much.
Sad thing is, she's also a La Sallian: Taft-based.

Well, I have friends who are well-off and La Sallians too, in various locations,
as well as friends in other universities.

I think it's a case which a person has too much yet can't choose/know what to do with
him/herself and its resources.

It's Raining Men- lang sana.

Augh. The storm's so bad yesterday, for the first time, our home got flooded.
The water was above my ankles while in some streets, the water was as high as the knees.

We found out late that the water went into our house since we are all happily sleeping due to the cold weather.
My mom and I who were preparing breakfast at the kitchen, then suddenly noticed the water at the living room. We thought it was just from our roof. To our surprise, there were already water all over the bedroom and most of the living room.

Our bitch gave birth 1 week ago to 3 pups.
The electronic gadgets and the pups were my priorities to save.
The puppies who can't even see yet were struggling to swim and were crying. Their mom doesn't know where to put them and was crying too.
It was hard to find a place for our pets since all of the important stuff are already occupying the available chairs and tables.
So I customized two chairs for them just so it would be long enough for the mother dog to lay in.
Problem is, the chairs are not secured for the pups since it didn't have arm rests suitable for their size.
There were a few times when the pups fell from their customized home.
The first time it happened, I heard a PLOK! sound in the water.
So for quite some time, I was guarding the pups especially if they have to drink milk from their mom.
Thankfully, no pups got injured when they fell to the water. But I think if it was a normal day and there was no water inside, I think any pup would hurt its leg.

We ate breakfast late. We were busy first to save our stuff.
Grr! My cellphone's box turned a bit crappy and it was just 1 day old.
x_x I'm still trying to get to know my new phone.

Another thing, due to that storm. I didn't make it as a speaker for my Alma Mater.
I was excited the whole week to prepare a speech related to anime. Since the org is about anime, manga and comics. And it all came to nothing because of the storm and the terrible flood.

The thing I'm grateful about is that we didn't have any black/brownouts.
But we are having some problems with some outlets here in our home.

Seven Hours of Hell and My Resignation

For this day, I'll be posting two. It seems that I have a lot of time at hand.
And a lot of stories to tell.
Has anyone watched Reporter's Notebook or EyeWitness (ata?) last Tuesday(ba yun?).
The episode tackles on our poor soldiers' condition in the battlefield.
I've managed to retrieve an on-line article on the said episode
here.

Tho I have not seen the episode on tv, I felt sadness that I have known the story deeper thru the said article.
When I read this, I knew the result of those gunfires would be people got wounded (from both sides) and worst, death.
And to add more to the injury, were the weapons of our soldiers.
Walang panama sa mga kalaban! Ano ba yan! Kawawa naman sila.

After one year of working, I have decided to resign from my 1st company, last July 31.
The General Manager's initial reaction: "I knew it!"
After I left her office, I officially told the people in our office that I have resigned. One of my officemates cried bitterly that my decision was so sudden.
I have received good comments from my officemates which I never thought they will be saying those. Since I'm the reserved and mysterious employee in the office.

To my surprise, I have received a call from my former client- an IT company.
Once they confirmed that I have resigned, they asked for my resume that I transfer to them.
Wow, I felt flattered by such offer.
Thankfully, I have not signed any contract yet despite that there's already a company where I am ready to transfer by the 2nd week of Aug.
I have submitted though the requirements to there agency.

If given the chance, of course, I'd love to work in an IT firm. ^_^

Marimar, my sempai and a La Sallian

The promotion for Marimar (Marian Rivera) has been overwhelming. GMA 7 has been flagging that Marian is the network's next big star. To a few, they somehow came up with a conclusion that maybe Angel Locsin was anticipating the tide that Marian will be the highlight and not her. I have even observed those 'few' commented, "Mag-aaral kasi yan si Angel magsayaw para di siya matabunan. Tingnan mo si Marian." ^^;;

As of press time, I've heard there was an interview/letter from Angel's side that they will not renew the contract to GMA.

Yeah, this post is showbiz-y.
But I can't help to comment. Marian Rivera and I went to the same Alma Mater, same course yet different level. She was 2 years ahead of me, if I remember it right.

When she first had her tv commercial of SkinWhite, one of my professor asked before she started the class. "Has anyone seen the SkinWhite tvc?"
Our class replied in unison, "Marian!"

Before she was a tv personality.
One time, Marian and I were at the same powder/comfort room. We were facing the same mirror and when you see her, you can't help but compare your skin/complexion to her.
Especially if you're tanned and pimple-prone like me. huhu.. Yep, her skin's clear and snow white.

Seeing Marian developed on-screen, makes me feel proud that she's my sempai.
So here I am, I'd like everyone to support Marimar- Pinoy ver.
My friends and I were joking if Michael V. would be cosplaying Corazon in the Pinoy ver. But we found out that he's the voice of Fulgoso.
I'm looking forward the Pinoy ver. would be fun and interesting.

I'm serious!
There's a model search for a well-known store.
I was planning to join for fun and luck.
The contest mentioned that for their weekly winners, one will get 10k.
The previous weekly winners, uhm.. I think if you have seen them, you would be prompt to try too.
I don't care if I make it to the semis. I'd be happy to receive 10k already.

I was supposed to join this week. Then I was surprised when suddenly this week's winners (July 23-28), photos of some established celebs have showed up as entries.
Tho of course, those celebs currently are not active on-screen as of now. Nor do they have ads at Edsa. I don't want to drop names. Clue: One of them is from ABS/ have ASAPmania stints.

I was like protesting to my friend when we saw those familiar faces.
I'm disappointed because now it would be tougher to compete for the 10k.

I was also wondering why would their managers let them compete in the 1st place?
Can't they think of another strategy to boost up the current cold careers of their talents? -sigh- Goodbye 10k.

Hm.. time to look for another way to earn money.
Damn that thief. It ruined my budget up to the end of the month.

Look, It's Lupin III!

No. Not Richard Gutierrez. A thief (We presume it was just one) got into our house last Monday and took 3 mobile phones, along with is a 512 RS-MMC(The 7610 I gave to my brother, yep that phone was taken since it was left on that unfortunate day), dvd portable player and some anime dvds/cds.
Due to the latter, we presume the thief is still a teen.
No one saw who went into our house nor was a force of entry.
We think the thief got inside successfully thru our window.
Anyway, whenever I remember he got the memory card. It makes me upset since I still haven't transferred some of the Toycon 2007 pics I have in there. Grr...

Tomorrow, I'll turn one year tomorrow at work.
Jessica/Renge of Ouran/Toycon 2007 will be leaving the country the following day.
We'll be having a lil get-together tomorrow.
I hope the schedule will be followed since I have some meetings too. x.X

BFF Mikki seems to be enjoying her career as an agent.
I just envy her at times due to her salary and the way she tells stories
about her job, co-workers and the company.

We were talking (thru text) last Saturday.
And I was telling her I should have waited for her at grad school.
She replied to me that as long as she enjoys her job and
can apply her skills and knowledge. She don't need another degree.
It made me reflect what do I really want from grad school?
What the hell do I need for it anyway?
Am I just wasting my money?

-sigh- Sometimes, I really need to have a good hold of myself
to make me focus more on the reason I'm taking an MA is to have
a career at the academic setting or to have an advantage
for promotion if given the opportunity to work at bigger companies.

Transformers insert sounds effect- robot transforming

I swear every guy within my range the moment Transformers the movie was shown,
they were dying to watch it.
I'm not a Transformers fan. I only watched it when I was a lil kid.
In terms of mecha, I'm more of a Gundam fangirl- major in Mech, minor in characters.
I thought my brother wouldn't be affected by the Transformers mania.
I was surprised he watched the midnight showing of Transformers.
And when Rai and I went on a date, he said, "Let's watch Transformers!"
Promise. It didn't occur to me he'll be interested too. Even my brother.

"What is happening?" I thought.
I just have this trauma when a certain animated series turned to movie, it will not be good.
Yet everyone was giddy with Transformers the movie.

The line at MoA was long! Everyone before us are for Transformers too.
My beloved Rai has somewhat turned into an otaku.
He was excited about Transformers and he was like telling me tales too. -.-
When we watched X-men, the both of us are really into discussion about the series but
with Transformers, I can't interact that much.
When we went to the cinema, the aura felt like an anime convention.

And so the reel began.

I'm super back to basics with Transformers terms.
Autobots, Decepticons, Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee were I'm most familiar. (Shame!)
Anyway, despite the movie was American.
Teen angst was mixed pretty well with the Middle East soldiers, US-Pentagon and of course, the Autobots.
Even if you're not a fan, you can't help but keep your eyes on the screen
as things goes rolling and being boom!

Bumblebee's cool. He always is. ^_^
I love to ride him to. And race with Ryosuke Takahashi (Intial D) -okay, sorry I got lost.
Anyway, whoa~ I didn't know he and Megatron are brothers?!

It should have been cool if Optimus and Megatron really showed
each other who eats the dust and turns to rust.
Not just a human who intervened and did something out of accident.
But one thing I notice is that, the movie was so great, it didn't made me to look for the
legendary sound effect. But I wish it still existed there.
I've to note also that this movie has witty dialogues too.
Watch the movie and you'll pick up your fave line.

The most funny part in this movie was when Optimus and co.
were hiding from (human protagonist) Sam's parents.

What can I say? -breathes deeply-
TRANSFORMERS THE MOVIE RULES!
I've heard that they're already planning a sequel.

After the movie, I saw Rai's eyes beaming with joy.
When Optimus Prime showed up, he was smiling.
Like a child saw his longtime hero.
I tried to distract him by teasing, "Otaku, iyak na."
But that didn't flinch him to be in awe that his toys are on-screen.

I'm thinking what if Gundam would be turned into a movie?
Would I also be in awe when two Gundams battle up to the finish.
Well, if that happens, I hope Rai would enjoy Gundam too.
The same feeling I enjoyed his Transformers.

I suddenly remembered that live Evangelion is on the works.
That rumor/news has been going on since late high school.
That I'd like to see too. Aside from the mechs,
I'll be eyeing on "Boku wa Kaworu" XD

Toycon 2007

I'm finally in Grad School!
My first day of class was last Saturday, June 16, 2007- also, the first day of Toycon.
Anyway, I'll be having my MA classes every Saturday.
My last class ended at 6pm. Because our prof enjoyed the interaction.

On Toycon-Saturday, we manage to arrive late. Around 7pm.
We just roamed the place, did a bit of shopping and have met some friends.
On Sunday, I arrived at around lunch time.
Jessica and I planned to do a costrip.
We did Ouran Host Club. She's Renge and I'm Haruhi.
Haruhi Fujiouka is REALLY a girl but was thought to be a BOY.
With this character, I somehow experienced to do crossplay since it required me to
look like a boy. Yes, I even binded my "twins" for this Toycon. Did I pass it? ^^;;

I changed outfit at SM. It was one of the LGF-powder room.
I was a bit shy when I came out of the cubicle. People were looking at me.
I just checked if everything was fine and I went to MegaTrade to buy the tickets.
30mins later, Mikki arrived and soon Jess/Renge too.

Haruhi and Renge roamed the ToyCon. ^^
While Mikki tended her kids who are part of the Naruto team.
My former classmate, Cisae also attended Toycon. It was so nice to see her again!
Jess introduced me to her friends who are part of the Kalye Pinky.
I have also met some anime fans from DLSU-D, both from KamuiGroup and Genshiken.
After a long time, I have met Nix, Maks and Thryza again! =)
Mac told me that he didn't recognize me. And I passed as a guy hands-down. (thanks, mac!) Maine and Dorothy asked for pics. And so did other people too! I was glad I was able to make "Haruhi" alive for my co-fans of the said character/series.
Speaking of pics, here are a few I have on my phone.

It's almost a year since I started working with my current company.
I saw lot of things happened.
I got an everyday taste of pressure and politics.
I'm working now as a Recruitment Consultant (I started as a Recruitment Assistant). I work for a recruitment firm.
At first, I thought it was cool.
"Oh, I'll do interviewing. I'm going to talk to a lot of people."
But what I didn't know I will be the one who's going to look for applicants too.
I'm going to schedule them. They would confirmed. Yet admist, let's say, 50 applicants, I've contacted, a handful of ten or twenty would show up. -If I'm lucky-
And the number of candidates would be lowered since when you have them for interview, some of them lack the communication skills/mindset the clients like.

Just today, I have managed that the top people surrounding my station were not around.
I have submitted my reports. All were ready for tomorrow.
Got nothing much to do. And so I decided to search for a better opportunity thru Jobstreet.com.

I made a boo-boo. Someone saw me or got an idea that I'm now starting to seek better benefits and growth.
Tough luck.
He's part of the Inner Circle. As what I tagged them in my mind.
I knew for sure he might use this info, just in case he plans to be on the 'good side' of the Inner Circle.

-shrugs, deep sigh- I'm such a klutz.

Anyway, I'm now saving up so just in case something happens here in the company.
There has been great tension I've been feeling. Not just for me. But everyone in our dept.

Another thing I learned is that I should have saved since I started working.
I'm only starting to develop the habit of saving up.
I can be at ease within 3-6months and be able to provide for my studies as well.

Being a STUDENT again / N95 and my 'rich' brother

June signals the back to school air.
Just like with some of you, I'm also going back to school this June.
I'll be pursuing my Masteral Degree in Psychology.
I enrolled two subjects for this sem. And I'm going to continue working.

I'm under probation since I'm a new student.
I saw my grade at my exams- ABOVE AVERAGE. Yay! No one got EXCELLENT and most got AVERAGE.

The dean had this 'mind games' on me, which a bit affects me on
being scared with grad school.
She mentioned to me, "Due to lack of experience... I don't want to disappoint you. Grad school is different with college."
That did scare me. Not with how grad school would be different but on the grade I need to maintain for me to survive their program.
ack! They require at least 1.75. That's around 92-up, I think.

My youngest brother finally came home!
He finished his ojt in Japan-Australia.
We were talking and I told him how I love to have N95!

He said, "Dapat sinabi mo para binilhan kita. Meron nyan sa Australia."
(You should have told me so I have bought you. They have that in Australia.)

Huhu.. just look how my youngest brother has more money as compared to me, his older sister.
I'm embarrassed to ask such expensive phone from my brother.
If he had asked me what stuff would I like for my bday, I'd be vocal about it.
But if it's as a pasalubong, that's a different story, ne?
Well, what's more important to me is that my brother arrived safe and sound.

Anyway, my new company phone is a Motorola V3i.
It has also a camera and extended memory.
The camwhore that I have of course, I immediately took a picture.
Hm.. I still think Nokia's resolution is better or am I just conditioned too much in using nokia phones?
Since secondary school, I've used a nokia phone.
From 3210 >> 8310 >> 7610.
My trend is that I change phones every 2-3 years.
I used to target phones that maybe expensive right now yet the features can keep up with me and against new releases.

Now, I've given up my 7610 for my other brother (since he likes that phone the way I rave about N95)
and bought a 1600.

Tidbits of What Was Life In College

My mom got sick. I think it has been twice that she got sick and collasped.
She took a rest for two days now. She didn't go to a doctor for the mere reason she claims she only needs rest.
I couldn't bug her since she'll challenge me: May pera ka ba? (Do you have money?)
-sigh-
I wish thru my hardwork and perseverance I will get a salary either in my current office or a better opportunity
wherein my mom wouldn't be concerned if I still have money if I had plans for our family eg. medical check-ups.

I also went to my former school last Friday.
I can't helped but smile. In one day, I manage to experience some tidbits of what was life in college.
Here they are.

1st- Travel.
I used to ride a jeep and it requires a lengthy trip. So say hello to air-dry hair.

2nd- Sunny Day and Trees.
DLSU-D has a nice environment. When the sun shines brightly, you can't help but fell in love with the campus.
To the yaoi fangirls: If you're familiar with Gravitation's opening in the anime-before the song will be played,
you'll see that view in DLSU-D.
Also, our 'Rotonda' reminds me of Meteor Garden's F4 School.

3rd- Amazing Race.
I still need to go from one building to another just so I can find and get some papers signed.
One even suggested I come back after lunch.
"Hanapin nyo na lang po si Sir Manny kung makukuha mo yun letter today or bibigyan ka na lang ng date."
Ano ba yan. I'm an alumna. I need to be prioritized. -peace, laughs-
Hm..I don't know who Sir Manny is. >.RAIN
Due to the trees in DLSU-D, they aggravate the rainpour. If you're in a badluck,
some branches would fall at you. Thankfully, in my 4 years in La Salle,
I didn't experience that.
Even though my pants got wet, I loved the feeling that it reminds me how it was when it rains in DLSU-D.
Sometimes people would argue "Naulan na." The other would say "Naambon lang kaya."
It's because of those Gravitation-inspired trees. -lol-

Anyway, I hope in my next visit at DLSU-D. It will be sunny day all throughout.
I didn't ask for my yearbook yet since it might get wet.

A Saturday at Mall of Asia: Marthy Angue of Mangaholix and Jamie Bautista of CAST

We went to MangaHolix last Saturday.
BFF Mikki and I met up near my place then rode a taxi going to MoA.
Gyah~ So many human at the con!
And it was nice I saw a lot of familiar faces from DLSU-D.
I was wearing a sporty get-up and my! I sweat a lot!
I bought some cards that costs around 3pcs/10php.
I bought Sanji of One Piece cards. ^_^ Why does he resembles Yuki Eiri of Gravitation?
We met with Marthy and I was bugging him to give me a free copy of Mangaholix. ^.^;
But I ended buying one in support for Marthy.

Anyway, Mikki and I left Mangaholix
By lunch time, I met with my bro, Rob.
He texted me: Meet me at the ~Graphic Novel section.
Sosyal.
And so Mikki and I did.
On our way to NBS, we met her anaks.
Hehe.. it has been a tradition they'll bring this illustration board and they'll
scribble some funny stuff.
Rob's board says, "I want to be your Princess 2x"

Then we met up with my bro and had lunch.
We all ate at HAPPY LUCKY.
It's near Tokyo Tokyo and Chef D' Angelo.
I hope you guys will try eating there too. ^.^
It's cheap and the food are great!
We liked HAPPY LUCKY that we asked for their calling card.
After lunch, we went back to the Music Hall.
We saw a guy who was cosplaying Mido Ban.
When we confirmed he is indeed a cosplayer and not a costripper.
Ban was wearing his BLACK SANDO SHIRT. No white shirt yet.
Mikki and her kids gathered up for a photo.
We teased Ban by holding the board: "I want to be your Princess 2x"
But everybody loved his charm so we spared the board.

We stayed at Mangaholix til 4pm.
Then we shifted to PowerBooks to attend a Comics Seminar.
The speaker was Jamie Bautista of CAST.
Rob was active when Sir Jamie asked some stuff.
Talo nya ako sa recitation. -sad-
Through that seminar, it made me realize more the status of the Comic Industry here.
I salute Sir Jamie and his crew for the works and activities they do.
I see them as catalysts for tapping the potentials of Pinoy comic artists.

After the seminar, Rob wanted a pic with Sir Jamie.
Then we stood up, he backed out. He felt shy all of a sudden.
While I was waiting for the right time.
Mikki demanded to us, "Tayo na!"
She was pissed off and I got scared by Mami Kyouya~~~
And so we did.
My brother got his pic taken with Sir Jamie and left Powerbooks
as a proud fan.
Too bad, he didn't know Sir Jamie would be the speaker.
If he did, he would surely brought Cast.
FYI, Rob's bday is today.
We also approached Sir Jamie for his contact info, along with Greg of Genshiken.

After the seminar, we went back to Mangaholix.
I met up with Marthy and Lee. I still haven't meet Julie/July. -.-

Mangaholix's group cosplayers were cool in doing skits.
Esp the Street Fighter Alpha group (basta I call them that. >.< Not sure what SF line tho)
They won 1st,right ne? yay!

For our dinner, we ate at CRAZY ROLL.
It's a competitive priced Japanese restaurant.
I'd love to eat there again! ^_^
They serve big servings.
And hopefully, leave a signature at their table.

So there. Saturday at Mall of Asia was tiring.
Lots of leg work yet FUN. ^_^

Hm.. there was another reshuffling again at our company.
I have a new boss. He's YAOI!
Strict yet he's the type that you wouldn't cringe just as long as you work your ass off.
He is patient. I wish the two of us wouldn't be in conflict. ^^
I'm so lucky to have nice bosses even if they are strict.
It was MOTHER'S DAY! ^^ My mom's bday is on May8.
I didn't buy her a gift on her bday since I was sick then.
I only manage to make a banner that says HAPPY BDAY MAMA.
Though for Mother's Day, I bought her a perfume at Body Shop.
When I gave it to her she was jokingly said,"Ano kaya kapalit nito?"
-panned- How did she know?! -laughs- I guess for 22 years, my actions are already predictable to her.

I managed to attend Mami Kyouya/Mikki's church.
I had fun. Ika nga ni Mikki: ASAPmania.
True. The songs were genki. May choreo and all.
I was also touched with the sermon.
It's about blessing.
They mentioned the greater the blessing, the greater the responsibility.
I totally agree.
We bought some buko pie nearby the church and it was TASTY!

Yesterday, ELECTION DAY!
My indelible ink was so thick. Augh!
Sayang lang manicure ko. -laughs-
People (relatives, neighbors) were bugging me who I voted for the Mayor post and below.
I was dodging the topic. Why should you guys know?
Anyway, I was surprised my mom voted for Chiz.
I was like, "Oh cool! We like the same candidate." ^.^
And he's leading at the count this morning.
Yay! You go Chiz.
I wonder if Lolo Rai/Lolo Pepe did vote him too.
Chiz used his song,right?
Unbelievably, Trillanes and Honasan got into the top12 as of this morning.
While Lim leads in numbers in the mayor race for Manila.
Anjo Yllana was second in the vice-mayor race for Paranaque.
The incoming candidates would determine somehow what type of President and VP we might have in the
next election.

Going back with work, it's so busy here that I can't work on getting my masterals.
I plan to take it this year. Target: June 2007.
I wish I can get use my leaves to check my requirements.
However I got deadlines to beat. Hm..

The Voice From the Past

I was having a tough time since Friday. I got colds and coughs too much.
Right now, I don't have my voice.
The doctor advised me not to drink cold water (which I've been doing since I got this cold) and avoid any sweets (which sadly I have not taken any even before my colds).
We had an event last Saturday and that requires me to work. I still went on with it.
It was hard to interact with people. Yet I enjoyed meeting the organizers. It just sucks that I don't have my voice. waah~
I didn't go to work today. I've been trying to rest since yesterday.
This is the 2nd time I got sick since I started working.
However, my mind goes off to the deadlines I should meet, the clients I need to serve and all those stuff. Making it really hard to just lie down and relax since I'm thinking what am I going to do.
Somehow, there's this wishful thinking that I don't want to recover yet.
I want to rest. A complete peaceful rest.
No, not death. XD

Just the freedom that you don't have any responsibility to answer your ass to.
But we all know that doesn't happen everyday!
ahaha.. and so I just need to keep my sunny disposition that all bad things will end.
Good things will come soon and I will learn something from all of this.

Longest Day

Friday seems the longest day.
This week has been trying to kill me or pushes me to do it somehow.
I was on the brink to let go of my work.
Too much pressure, I tell you.
It really pains me that I have not been productive as how I should be.
I've been doing my tasks yet the output is minimal.
There was a certain day that I just want to scream and throw things just to let go of the fury in my system.
However, I tell myself, to project that fury into a positive energy rather than a negative stored energy.
I'm trying to keep myself together.
If I'm being grumpy lately, you have an idea why.
Pagpasensya nyo na lang ako.

PS: If you think Pinoy Bleach dubbing sucks, then don't watch it.
I don't get the logic why some people keep on commenting how bad the voices as if there will be no tomorrow, yet they still continue watching it.

I was watching Gokusen and Yankumi-sensei sacrifices her career as a teacher just so her students can graduate.

Great teachers makes great sacrifices.

I remember reading a certain professor Liviu Librescu at Virginia Tech.
It's sad to know about the shoot-out at Virginia Tech.
Even if I was never involved by the people who were killed,
I felt deep sadness and get goosebumps too while reading
the tragedy as well as the profiles of those who were killed.
One of the thing that caught me was about Prof. Liviu Librescu.
He blocked the door with his body, asked his students to leave, while the gunman tries to enter.
The gunman even shot through the door.
The professor was a Holocaust survivor and what got me is that the day this happened
was the day was supposed to be an anniversary related to the Holocaust.
Most importantly, he gave up his life for his students.

It's really sad that first few profiles of the victims(some students) I read were not just 'regular students'.
Those students excelled in their field and got leadership skills.
Those people so young yet got lots of potentials.

The murderer according from reports rants about rich kids and probably stuff that may have irritated him/who bullied him.
He wanted to do revenge yet the people he killed, as far as I know, may not even be his real targets, I mean
the people he rants about/picked on him.

To the victims of VT, may you rest in peace.

Timely, it was also around this week when my former HS teacher left earth.
I will never forget when she visited me a week after my bday.
Then the next week, she had a heart attack.
She was confined in PGH then on a Friday, she went to rest.
I received the news through a text at around 3pm from my mom and I was commuting at that time.
It was surreal. It was like how will be the rest of us will be now that she's gone.

So as to refresh and lift our souls from these sad stories,
My mom and I will go to the Spa tomorrow.
I'm planning to color my hair. But it's certain I'll have a manicure-pedicure. While my mom would like to
try foot spa.

Uhm.. for the pics of my new hair do, I'll try to post. I'm still kinda embarrased. Sowee~ XD

I'm Going to be A Super Model

I just been offered to be a model for a make-up make-over for Yves Saint-Laurent. ^_^
A make-up artist from Paris would be coming over here for that project.

I saw a news at Yahoo! regarding a shoot-out at Virginia Tech.
I read the details at Wiki.
I noticed that there have been a history in the US where there would be shoot-outs at the campus.
Correct me if I'm wrong, it was not long ago when I read a news before about a certain shootout also in the US.
Even though it was in different places, the interval for a shoot-out seems so short.

I don't like to think that there would be an incident here in the Philippines.
However, mahilig naman tayo sa mga riot.

I'm so pressured lately.
I haven't filled up the positions our company urgently needs right now.
I even bravely went to our Business Devt officer to voice out my frustration
and asked what can I do.
The fact is: It is my job to fill those by hook or by crook. >.<
I'm having constipation. Somatic disorder ba ito!

To be in love and be loved back by that person is one of the greatest feelings ever.
However not all relationships ends in good terms.
I was a witness yesterday when one of my closest friends were having War of the Words
with her ex.
I was their middleman.
Her ex said thank you to me since admist the war: You are the most mild-mannered among her friends.
Unless you want to give me a death threat.
I told him thank you and death threats are not my style but I am upset by how things are going on for the 2 of them.
I was surprised how that guy talks to my friend (when he relays message to me for my friend).
It's as if he's a different person.
-deep sigh-
Nakakalungkot.
I want to help my friend yet some things/some people add up to the war.
TO us supporters, I know we can do lots of things. This goes to everyone.
We can txt the guy/girl. We can email his/her friends and tell them to stop.
We can start a new war. We can do something scary. We can give counselling.
But you know what?
At the end of the day, it is THEM who will solve this problem.
We can only give suggestions but it is THEM who will plan and even take actions.
Don't get involved too much.
The problem is all of us think that what we are doing is right.

Hair Styling With The Devil

Yesterday, I went to my fave salon to update my hair style.
Normally, I don't mind if I get passed from one stylist to the other.
But what I got is someone who's from hell during the lent season, I suppose.
I got intimated by this deranged hair stylist.
I asked politely if he can do this style I saw in their catalog.
Then I got a lengthy and loud sermon about hair.
Yep, the whole salon can hear it.
He even exclaimed, "Beautician ako, hindi magician"
WTF! Gays only say that to a hopeless gal.
I'm a sensitive person and I wanted to cry while at the chair.
That's the first time I received such treatment in that salon.
All I wanted was to update my 'do. I asked politely and I'm not hard-headed when it comes to hair styling.
Is it too much to ask from a girl who has a waist length wavy locks?

I guess it was too much for that stylist of such caliber.
I reasoned out to him, still in a polite way, maybe we can arrive at a compromise on what I like and what suits me.
Yet he still bangs me with these statements that strips your pride and right to be pampered in a salon.
He acts like a mother. No logical reason. Simply because she said so.
Those are the types wherein you'd just listen to what they are saying and thinks that if you go against them,
it would come back four-folds. >.<

The result was my longest length of strand was as far as my bra line and he gave me this Audrey Hepburn bangs.
After that hellish experience with that stylist, everyone was commenting the hair looks good on me-blahs.
Man, it may look good on me but I don't feel good about it.
I can take those gay comment-slash-stabbing if it meant that I get a hair that looks good on me and I would be satisfied.
But I don't like how the hair looks. Regardless of what I have experienced, I'm not really convinced that such style suits me.
*anguish*

Anyway, lesson learned.
Thankfully, I got the name of the former stylist I had in that same salon before this person.
I also got the name of the person who gave me this current style.
So I'll just book the former.
Though I think it would take some time before I decide to style my hair again.
If someone would suggest I should just find a new salon, well, I already have a new target. However their cuts are too price-y.
For now, I want my length back.

The Birthday Girl

It's my bday. ^^ Turned one year older.
I'm currently at work and will celebrate it here.
My mom and brother will bring the food this afternoon.
Hm.. I wonder if my mom would give me a gift. Something surprising.
An N93i or N95. XD
Yeah right.
My wish for this year is I can survive the challenges here in our office and if ever I get the chance to work for another company, it would have better compensation package that I can indulge to pay for my Master's course (I want to take my master's this year! No school yet), give a larger sum to my family and buy stuff because I just want to. -lol-

Makubex told me that she has been receiving compliments from people that she's looks younger than her age.
I told her: Lasapin ang moment na napagkakamalang bata.
(Savor the moment when people thought you're younger than your age) ^^;;
Ever since I have worked, people thought I was 24.
gyah~ I'm just 21. I will only turn 22 next month.
One officemate remarked "talaga, 21 ka lang?" then he laughs thinking I was cloaking my age.
Another evidence that I have matured physically was one of my recent applicants have met me in college
and commented I have aged. -shows anguish-
Super nag-mature raw. Wtf!

Some ladies here were raving about Olay.
The tvc (tv commercial) and their promotions (exchange your current mositurizer to receive Olay)
can really entice one to buy/try.
Actually, I was planning to buy Olay but heck! it costs around 600php.
The price for beauty is expensive. >.< AND! maintenance, my dear.
I don't have the money to buy vanity products to add to my budget.
By biological means, environment, etc. we'll age.
And for compensation, I manage what I eat. Yes! Diet! -lol-
It's not really 'diet'. I still eat what I like, only that I control the servings.
I remind myself not to take too much sugar. Diabetes runs in our family.

Sometimes it's hard not to binge on food due to pressure from work.
But I tell myself, I can eat but I should not let my weight add up.
Being overweight/not happy with the way you look, can increase one's depression/pressure in life.
And once you got in the mud of being depressed and pressured, it's so sticky that you thought there's no way out.
Yikes!

That's why it's important that we should look after the things we have before we started to work/got a new career.
Never let anything/anyone for granted.
I, sometimes, feel guilty, when I don't tell my parents sone stories what's happening at work,
or when my brothers and I don't
go out anymore or when I'm too sleepy and my *cub* would call me up for a talk and I'd be irritated because
I want to rest.

It is important that you have an outlet for the emotions/thoughts you have everyday.
It can be music, watching tv or like what I do, I blog! *hugs blogspot*

Vincent the Killer

Makubex applied at our company.
She was accompanied by someone whom I'm going to call as Vincent the (hired) killer. -lol-
Well, I'm glad to see my friend with a new guy.
So far, the guy passed the initial screening. (Audition? -lol-)
He established rapport with me.
Vincent, Makubex, Monix and I went out for lunch.
During lunch, we have watched news regarding on the hostage of some children on-board a bus.
The latest news I received is that the hostage taker would surrender by 7pm.
Please keep the kids safe.
Back to Vincent, he said that he have cosplayed the 'black/cursed Sasuke' during the Hero con.
Makubex and I were there but we didn't see him!
Anyway, looking at him, I asked him if he knows Bleach and his eyes can try to cosplay Gin Ichimaru.
He said he's fine with the idea. Cool,huh?
Beforehand, Makubex informed me that he is like Vincent.
The eyes are. Hired killer talaga. -lol-
I wish he would be fairer so that he'd look more like Gin.
However, what's the use of make-up and my kikay skills, eh? ^^
I wish Makubex would finally be able to heal emotionally and mentally from her prev relationship.
I wish Vincent is serious about my friend and would take good care of her.

Under Surveillance

Yesterday, my company went out for an outing.
I felt sad at times.
Y'know the feeling you may have people around you yet you feel detached to them?
That's what I felt.
Actually, common comments on me was 'may sariling mundo' in the office.
I have this little intuition that there were some people talking about me behind my back.
Maybe because I am changing my persona. I'm the 'silent nagi' they knew before.
I'm now the type who answers them back and lets out an expression of 'leche' or 'p..' when pissed.
-sigh- I know, I know. I look rude. But I think it's just that I'm really showing of who I am.
This is not to say that ~"plastic" ako. I mean have you noticed in yourself that you get irritated easily by people whom
you know than those you don't?
Take this scene example when you're just new, people would forgive your tardiness in group outings.
"Okay lang yun" they would say.
Yet when you get closer to that group and the next time you're late, they'll tease you about it or even remarked,
"Ano ba yan? Bakit ka late?"
I think I'm in that stage.
-sigh- But I know in the future my tiny rude doings might get me in trouble. >.<
So, I'm going to revert some of the 'silent nagi' persona.

I'm under surveillance in our company lately.
Sukebe Mojacko (that's what people call him around the office) is eyeing on me that I'll be kicked out.
The news was leaked to me by Bebot.
The reason I'm his target? It's because of the Reception incident.
He's making a big deal out of it.
I swear I asked the untimely visitor very nicely who she is. I was afraid she was a robber.
I mean that's lunch time and our office is closed. How the hell did she get in.
Well, he claims the girl is insulted.
Insulted? Wtf! I told her I'm sorry.
Call me biased, biatch or something. But c'mon that girl isn't a manager or have reached the supervisory level.
I don't need to act as if I'll clean her shoes.
hn.. she's just a high school grad. Sorry is enough between the two of us! And have said it sincerely.

Going back, what I mean that I'm under surveillance is that every move I do with my PC is monitored.
Thankfully, Sukebe Mojacko is not an IT personnel! He does it manually. Y'know acting like he needs something to an officemate
behind my back just so he can have a chance to peek what I'm doing with my PC.

Sure, I'm a regular employee now.
But I'm still hoping that a nice company that would help me attain both financial and personal contentment would pirate me to work for them.
Oh, IBM! Please take me.
I have this plan to save some money starting this payday on the 30th.
I must save now for if any sudden change of heart of the company and Sukebe's ruling I'll be out then I can leave with my head up in the air
and smile because I was ready beforehand.

One Year After the Graduation

Today marks the graduation rite at DLSU-D.
I have a co-officemate which also came from DLSU-D.
We kinda reflected that it's been a year since we graduated.
We sang our Alma Mater song here in the office.
We laughed that before when were still in school, students would snob singing the Alma Mater song.
Yet when we graduated, we sing it proudly and it makes me miss school. >.<
aw.. I miss my blockmates. We had times wherein all of us are in 'tampuhan' mode
because of a team project that pushes everyone's patience.
'Minor na ala Major'
No matter what were the shortcomings, we would turn it into something good.
So good, we won awards! woo-hoo!
Then after that, bati na. -lol-
Awards lang pala.

But those critical moments in college really helps to prepare you when you start working.
However, it's not all hardships.
College also lets you enjoy life as it should be from kickbacks to parties/galas.
Because as what I have noticed in myself, MONEY's tough! Can't maintain the 'luho' anymore.
I don't have the time to go malling on weekdays.
After work, I go straight home and sleep. If I still have some energy, I surf the net/read a book.
Actually, even weekends, I feel like just sleeping all day.

Work is so much stressful. If not the accounts, it's the people!
Crab mentality.
tsk. and now, I'm getting more pissed off because the simple nokia 1600, brand new is not working properly.
I was doing my usual texting when it suddenly stopped sending messages.

I was supposed to move but heck, I decided not to.
But I'm planning to make another blog for some of my friends who are in the other host.

It's been a year since I graduated and it's amazing how things are going.
I'm now a regular employee in my current company (which is my 1st, yep, still here!).
And yes, the usual financial constraints.
-laugh- I remember a certain motto:
You pay me minimum wage, I'll give you minimum effort.

And oh! I forgot to tell you, I was Makubex's mommy for a day.
Her mom can't attend the Bacalaurette mass and so I'm the proxy!
wee~
After the mass, we had some coffee at SM Dasma.
Mocha rocks as always. ^^
However, I'm concerned with my dear friend.
She's really down lately and I don't what I can do more to help and pull herself from
this stage of agony.
